RIP
Above is a picture of the type of camera I’ve been using to record all the video for this trip. It’s called a Flip Mino HD. Yesterday we had a bit of a traumatic incident at the Seattle ferry depot involving my sole travel companion. Below is a dedication in poetic form.
Dear lovely Mino, how I loved thee;
Travel companion and friend.
Who could’ve foreseen in one short month
Our love affair’d come to an end.
Distracted and hurried, I forsook your value
and left you atop my lunch tray
To off and peruse the tourist brochures
not but a few steps away.
When I returned, you had alighted,
as valuables are wont to do.
I searched everywhere, but all for naught.
Sad lonely Vagabond Blue.
And so I go to Office Depot
To purchase another MinoHD
I hope your new owner loves you as much
As your careless first owner, me.
It’s a good thing these things are pretty cheap. A bit hard to do a travel vlog sans camera, eh? Fortunately I’d already uploaded the Portland video, and that’s really the invaluable stuff. Seattle will just have to live on in the still images I took on my little digital camera. Better than nothing!
Off to Ft. Lauderdale!!!!
